Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames
Powerful, insightful, provocative, the documentary film, Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames, explores the inspiring life and many 'deaths' of one of the western world's most important wisdom keepers. Renowned Jungian analyst and author, Marion Woodman, is celebrated for her work on feminine psychology and addiction, but her words and wisdom speak to nearly everyone. In dialogue with mystic and author Andrew Harvey, Marion explores the mysteries of her soul's journey. From her battle with anorexia, to her dance with cancer, Marion has 'died into life' and thus is a perfect teacher and mid-wife for this critical period in our history. This is a beautiful film that transmits a core truth of what it is to be human. Dr. Marlene Schiwy will introduce the film and facilitate a discussion afterward.
Mother, Virgin, Crone - Dancing with the Conscious FeminineOn Saturday we will explore the three archetypes of the Conscious Feminine through writing and movement, and active imagination and dreams. Relevant excerpts of Marlene's filmed interviews with Marion Woodman will also be included. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring your journal and a dream. Men are welcome.
Dr. Marlene Schiwy completed the Marion Woodman's Leadership Training Program and has studied at the International School for Analytical Psychology in Zurich.
