The Treadmill

The treadmill keeps on rolling
Round and round its rollers,
All us absentminded strollers
On foot after the other,
Big pharma gearing up for
The coming fall flu season,
Convincing politicians that
Their mercury carrying mess
Be injected into every body,
Big business and developers
Ripping out more forest,
Looking ahead to other
Pristine places where they
Don’t live, won’t live will,
Never live, but it’s all about
Their money, shovel the
Folks who live there some
Rancid rice and rat meat,
What the hell do they know
Our investments need to grow.
