Rainbow Youth Theatre
How will you be spending your summer nights this year? Why not entertain the whole family with Rainbow Youth Theatre’s summer performances, kicking off with the musical that launched John Travolta into fame – Grease!
Anyone who saw this year’s Rainbow Youth Theatre’s float for the Canada Day Parade got a preview of what’s to come.

Grease’s cool 1950's story about Love, Cars and Drive-ins has music and dance that still rocks 60 years later. A cast of 40 teens directed by the gifted Brian Kruse will electrify you with their energy and talent July 28 – 31 at 7:30pm with a matinee at 2pm on Saturday, July 31.

The next weekend, families can take in the magical “Excalibur” - the story of young King Arthur. This timeless legend reminds us that anyone can change the course of the future – no matter your age. Vivian Douglas (with her roots in Britain) returns to Rainbow Youth Theatre to direct a group of 30 youth in a truly noble performance running Aug 5 - 7 ,,, 7pm with a matinee ,,, 2pm on Saturday Aug 7.
The summer finale of Rainbow Youth Theatre’s productions is the jazzy “Aristocats - Kids”. Local favourite, Allyson Leet, under the mentorship of Jennifer Moses, will direct 40 five to 11 year olds in the mischievous musical of the coolest cats around. The Aristocats promises to be ‘play-full’ with music, song and dance. Performances run Aug 12, 13, 14 ,,, 7pm & a matinee ,,, 2pm on Saturday Aug 14

All performances take place at he theatre at Mark Isfeld High School located on 1551 Lerwick Rd. Courtenay, BC, Canada – next to the home of the Comox Valley United Soccer Club.

Tickets are $12 (Grease is $15) per person or purchase the "Theatre Goer's Package" which offers one ticket to each of the three shows on the nights of your choice for the low price of $30 (a $9 savings). Tickets can be purchased at the Mark Isfeld High School Ticket Box Office daily Monday – Friday between 11:30 -1:30pm and 4:30-6:30pm beginning July 5th or at the door of performances not sold out.

Rainbow Youth Theatre is a registered non-profit, volunteer based community theatre group located in the Comox Valley.
